Participants wanted for study to investigate everyday activities in glaucoma
The University Eye Clinic at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg is looking for people diagnosed with glaucoma for an EU-funded research project. The study focuses on patients with advanced glaucoma. The aim of the study is to improve diagnostic procedures and develop a better understanding of the effects of glaucoma on everyday tasks.
Glaucoma, also known as glaucoma, is one of the most common causes of blindness worldwide. In Germany, over 500,000 people suffer from glaucoma, ten percent of whom are at risk of blindness. The gradual progression of visual impairment caused by glaucoma has a significant impact on the daily lives of those affected.
The planned examinations only include non-invasive diagnostic tests, such as determining visual function and the ability to concentrate. No medication will be administered.
