On Monday, March 4, 2024, an information event will take place on the occasion of World Obesity Day from 5:45 to 8:00 p.m. in the new lecture hall in House 7 on the campus of University Medicine. The dangers of obesity as a chronic disease will be discussed and current therapeutic procedures will be presented.

TeamUMMD is delighted with the high level of interest and the numerous questions asked by the trainees as part of the "Trainees running a ward" project.

At its 2024 annual conference in Hamburg, the German Society for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (DGTHG) recognized the special achievements of physicians and scientists. The DGHTG awarded the publication prize to Dimitrios Stavridis, a medical student at the Magdeburg Medical Faculty and doctoral student at the Clinic for Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery.
