On 5 June 2024, the 2nd Symposium of Regional General Practice will take place from 14:30 in Lecture Hall 7 on the campus of the Magdeburg Medical Faculty. The Department of General Practice Education and Training in Regional General Practice (HAWIRA) is pleased to be able to offer you interesting training topics.

Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU) has once again awarded the title of "Associate Professor" (APL) at the Faculty of Medicine to five private lecturers. The title is awarded by the OVGU to postdoctoral lecturers who, in the opinion of the faculty, have proven themselves to be outstanding in research and teaching.

Magdeburg University Hospital is the first centre outside of Japan to introduce a new therapeutic procedure: endoscopic freehand suturing. This represents a significant innovation in the way mucosal and defect closures are performed.
